The 2nd annual Village Salthill-sponsored ‘Shot By The Sea’ short film festival is being screened online tonight at 7.30pm.

Fifteen short films from Galway and further afield were chosen from the hundreds of entries. The program is about one and a half hours long in total, including several one-minute interviews interspersed amongst the films, by various Film Ireland directors and experts.

To be notified of the link to watch the ‘Live’ Festival screening and awards, click on this Facebook event link before 7pm today, and then indicate ‘Going’ or ‘Interested’. You will receive a message giving you the YouTube ‘Live Link’ at 7pm.

This is the Village Salthill ‘Small Towns Big Ideas’ entry in the Galway 2020 Capital of Culture celebration and hopefully be continued annually by the village in the future. If you cannot watch the ‘Live’ screening tonight, the program will be available to view for one month further, using the same link.

The films are fresh, creative and interesting, a good evening’s viewing, better than anything on regular TV, and it’s our Festival. https://www.facebook.com/events/487840648903191
